New Zealand and Pakistan have always presented entertaining matches when they meet, and this year was no different.

New Zealand’s batsmanship was on full display during their previous game and could again prove decisive. Pakistani bowlers will need to improve in order to avert another slump; their bowlers have struggled in each of their last three matches and need momentum for this match-up.

Test Matches

On December 18th, New Zealand and Pakistan will begin a Test series which features three T20I matches and two tests played under typical Kiwi conditions. Both sides will have much to prove after having endured a disappointing end to 2017. It promises to capture considerable attention among cricket fans alike.

The match between Pakistan and New Zealand was an exciting battle that proved very close at times. New Zealand bowlers managed to contain Pakistan batsmen’s attempts at reaching higher scores; only Azhar Ali and Rizwan managed to post half-centuries, yet these weren’t enough to stop Kyle Jamieson’s six wicket haul in taking out victory for New Zealand.

After an underwhelming summer of Test cricket, New Zealand are ready to regain their standing as one of the best sides in world cricket. Their formidable side boasts a deep roster that makes for tough opposition; led by Kane Williamson who is considered one of the premier batsmen.

New Zealand and Australia share close ties, in both social and sporting fields. Therefore, it may come as a shock that this fraternity doesn’t extend to Test match play, where New Zealand has seen many losses against Australia over recent years.

Pakistan will host the New Zealand-Pakistan cricket series for the first time since 2016. Both countries will compete in three ODI and two T20I matches; Karachi will play two and Multan the other two. All games will be broadcast live via Sony Ten 2 with Sony Liv available for streaming as well. Furthermore, Australia can watch Fox Sports broadcasting the T20s.

ODI Matches

Pakistan and New Zealand, who both recently had Test matches end in draws, will meet for three ODI matches beginning Monday at Karachi National Stadium. Both sides are looking good going into this three-match ODI series as both look for victory ahead of the 2023 ODI World Cup which begins soon afterwards. With so much at stake for either side during this series it should prove an interesting battle! Both may experiment with their lineups during this series in order to find their winning combination before it comes time for big tournament.

Pakistan-New Zealand One Day International matches have produced some of the most thrilling duels in cricket history. From Inzamam-ul-Haq’s blistering half century against New Zealand in 1992 World Cup semi-final to Ross Taylor tearing apart Pakistani bowlers in 2011, these matches always provide entertainment.

New Zealand have not won an ODI against Pakistan in their previous two meetings, yet will hope to change that when they arrive on home turf. Even with their poor record in this format, Kane Williamson-led side are favourites to take advantage of home advantage and claim victory en route to making this tour successful for them.

The ODI series between Australia and New Zealand will serve as an essential warm-up to the 2023 ODI World Cup, set for Australia and New Zealand to host. Both teams currently top ICC ODI rankings; thus making this series pivotal. It will be intriguing to observe their respective matches over 50-over format.

Looking at Pakistan’s overall head-to-head record against New Zealand in this format, it is evident that they are the superior team. Pakistan have won 55 of 107 ODI matches against New Zealand while eight matches were tied and three won by both sides.

Pakistan recorded the highest total against New Zealand ever seen in an ODI at Sharjah in 2014 when they achieved 364/4 for seven wickets lost, which ranks fifth-highest ever against them. By comparison, New Zealand reached its lowest ever ODI total against them back in 1986 when they were all out for 64 against Pakistan at Sharjah.

T20I Matches

Pakistan will take on New Zealand in a five-match T20I series starting 24 February at Eden Park in Auckland, and looking to avenge their recent losses of the ODI (3-0) and Test (0-3) series against them.

The T20I series promises to showcase both teams at their best and will be an entertaining showdown. Although defending champions Pakistan are expected to prevail, their rivals from New Zealand have an excellent track record against them and may look for revenge against one of their biggest rivals – something Black Caps will surely want.

Kane Williamson has been in tremendous form for New Zealand recently and will look to lead them to victory against Pakistan this weekend. The batting maestro scored two hundreds in two consecutive innings at home – an impressive feat. Williamson may even add to his T20I century total this weekend!

New Zealand captain Michael Bracewell won the toss and elected to bat first against Pakistan. New Zealand got off to a great start thanks to an opening stand between Brendon McCullum and Daryl Mitchell; however, their performance soon diminished in the second half of their innings.

Babar Azam was heavily criticized on Twitter for his performance against New Zealand Black Caps but is determined to redeem himself. Although Azam scored an impressive fifty in the opening T20I match against them, he dropped two crucial catches – including one off Mohammad Rizwan’s bowling.

Iftikhar Ahmed proved a surprise hero for Pakistan with the ball, taking three wickets off four overs for Pakistan to seal victory against Australia in T20 Internationals on Sunday (22 April). Although he hadn’t claimed one before now in their previous eight matches, on this gripping and turning pitch he made sure all four batsmen got out, including Tim Seifert (19), Matt Henry (1), Ish Sodhi (1) as well as helping force Will Young (12) out.

Shaheen Amir and Haris Rauf also took wickets for Pakistan as the Black Caps slumped to 173 all out with 10 overs to spare, with Jeemy Neesham and Colin de Grandhome making significant contributions but ultimately it wasn’t enough for a comeback.

T20I Series

Pakistan Cricket Board and New Zealand have agreed on a five-match T20 international series beginning with an opening match set to take place at Eden Park in Auckland on Friday, May 5. Additional matches will take place in Dunedin and Wellington and Blackcaps pace bowler Matt Henry has been included after recovering from hamstring injury.

T20 cricket was introduced worldwide in 2006 and quickly rose in popularity, becoming immensely popular worldwide due to its fast-paced format and casual nature. Casual fans and younger players often prefer it due to its shorter format and fast pace; its umpires take an informal approach with mock red cards being issued more commonly (though these don’t typically occur during T20 matches). Glenn McGrath famously mimicked Trevor Chappell’s underarm incident from an Australia v New Zealand ODI match back in 1981 while Billy Bowden showed him one such mock red card from another match between Australia v New Zealand; both players made fun of Glenn McGrath by imitating Trevor Chappell’s underarm incident from an Australia v New Zealand ODI between Australia v New Zealand; while Billy Bowden then showed him another mock red card (which normally wouldn’t apply).

India triumphed at the inaugural T20 World Cup held in South Africa in 2007, creating a huge global interest for this new cricket format. Following its immense success, ICC organized two more T20 World Cups.

T20Is are shorter versions of international cricket played with only seven players on each side and six overs to score runs; as a result, centuries and five-wicket hauls tend to occur less often in these forms of the game than others.

Enoch Nkwe of CSA Cricket expressed his thanks to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for offering Proteas Women the opportunity to travel before competing in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia this September. Nkwe also stressed the significance of expanding the sport through providing young women with opportunities and inspiring future female cricketers.

Mohsin Naqvi of Pakistan Cricket Board is expected to extend an invitation for India to participate in a Twenty20I series during his meeting with Jay Shah of BCCI at the International Cricket Council annual conference in Sri Lanka next week. They will explore ways of expanding bilateral relations as well as schedule a T20 series after Champions Trophy 2025.
