India and England, following an exhilarating semi-final matchup, will square off in the final of ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Both squads possess strong players that excel at this shorter format tournament.

Indian culture places great value on family and clan, with individuals often defining themselves through affiliation to certain groups or clans. By contrast, British society tends to place greater importance on individualism.

1st Test

The inaugural Test between India and England will take place at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad and begin on Thursday morning, January 25th at 9:30 am Indian Standard Time (IST).

Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin contributed impressive bowling displays that helped India post an impressive total of 246 against England. Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes led England’s scoring, while KL Rahul, Axar Patel, and Shubman Gill each contributed runs for India.

After Day 1, India held an advantage of 95 runs over England. England suffered multiple losses throughout the day as their top order batsmen and middle order were easily taken apart by Indian spinners; only Tom Hartley’s bowling performance could provide any consolation to their visitors.

England lost Joe Root early on the second day, but their lower order kept up a steady scoring rate. Tom Hartley made an outstanding 70 off 71 balls, as part of an important 80-run partnership between himself and Ollie Pope for the ninth wicket which frustrated Indian spinners.

England are currently trailing India by 18 runs at tea. England will hope to make up ground quickly during the final session and seize control of their game.

R Ashwin strikes gold with an outstanding delivery to dismiss Ben Stokes for 6 with ease! Ashwin gets both line and length as Stokes moves his foot forward to defend, only for him to miss all turn. Ashwin was overjoyed as this wicket became one of his own! Ashwin celebrated, knowing it would make for an important scalp.

Axar Patel was playing an intelligent innings. He slowly accrued runs while taking his time. Nothing wrong was being done by Axar; yet his batting style would suggest otherwise. With Ravindra Jadeja’s accurate spin delivery taking away any edge from Patel’s bat, Axar eventually fell.

2nd Test

After an exciting first Test, England and India meet again for the second test at Dr. Y S Rajashekar Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam for a fierce contest to claim victory and level the series 1-1. Play will commence at 9:30 a.m IST (Friday), with coverage provided by Star Sports HD as well as online streaming via JioCinema app and website.

England captain Joe Root has fallen prey to Jasprit Bumrah. The Indian bowler used his fast delivery to confound Joe Root into making an aggressive defensive shot that resulted in Shubman Gill at slips catching it for England at 177/7 with Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes still at bat.

India vs England Live Score:

Kuldeep Yadav enters the attack just as Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley are at bat, and spinner Kuldeep Yadav dismisses Duckett at silly point to leave England trailing by 162 runs with three wickets remaining. Crawley had earlier hit four boundaries off Jasprit Bumrah before losing out due to Ravichandran Ashwin taking an impressive catch from Bharat at slips.

India are making strides forward. After batting first on day two, they have amassed an overwhelming lead of 396 runs thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal’s historic double century performance.

Jaiswal, at only 25, is only the fourth Indian player ever to score a double ton in Test cricket – behind Vinod Kambli and Sunil Gavaskar. India’s batsmen have shown great maturity throughout this match; not panicking when facing such an enormous deficit and instead playing sensibly; Jaiswal and Shikhar Dhawan especially have proven invaluable as both have played excellent cricket while keeping their nerve against an experienced opposition.

3rd Test

India have battled back from an initial difficult start in their third Test against England at Rajkot to post three half-centuries and level the five-Test series 1-1 with England currently holding onto Hyderabad victory for now. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, and Sarfaraz Khan made a combined total of three fifty scores during a turnaround that has led them back into contention against their hosts.

Mark Wood’s frenetic pace caused some initial difficulty for Indian batsmen, but Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja quickly stabilized proceedings by scoring composed centuries. Jadeja ended with seven wickets in this match alone!

An impressive showing by a 29-year-old bowler whose injury struggles have threatened his career in recent years. Yet, he has shown he still possesses what it takes to be one of the premier bowlers.

He’s back to his best and remains one of the world’s most underrated spinners, boasting an excellent mix of deliveries that allow him to beat batsmen with turn and take wickets at key moments.

Jadeja has been in fine form, taking wickets at a steady rate against visitors here at this ground and can pose a threat on all surfaces.

Root batted the fuller delivery from Jadeja on his pads without much success – before taking advantage of an opportunity and hitting another shorter delivery into deep midwicket for one single run.

Jadeja sees out the over without further damage as his machine-like bowling attack takes effect. Jadeja was designed for destruction.

Tom Hartley replaced Wood, and Jadeja took advantage of a loose ball pitched on the leg-side by taking advantage of an extra bounce to his leg stump to take a wicket and guide it back towards a fielder in the three-man slip cordon.

4th Test

After an anxious start to the Test match, India steadied as it turned into a run chase. Dhruv Jurel’s determination and unbeaten 72-run partnership with Shubman Gill (52 not out) for sixth wicket proved crucial to India’s victory – taking an unassailable 3-1 advantage in the series.

England Out!!!: India strike again as England’s batsmen fall apart under pressure and concede another crucial wicket to India. Akash Deep bowls a full length delivery as Ben Duckett plays defensive shots and gets edged. Wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel dives to his left, taking an impressive one-handed catch with his first attempt; Dhruv Jurel makes history by becoming England’s youngest-ever Test wickettaker!

England are struggling to cope with India’s spin attack and Mohammad Siraj takes control of the match early, trapping Ben Foakes leg before and causing England to lose their sixth wicket of the match.

Joe Root has become the only hope for the hosts. Joined by Ollie Robinson at the crease, they scored six runs in an over from Akash Deep’s bowler Akash Deep including one boundary from Root to keep scores close as play enters its final session.

Jadeja looks for more turn and thinks he has Robinson leg before wicket, but Kumar Dharmasena disagrees and the review attempt fails; thus returning him back to the crease.
